Yngwie Johann Malmsteen is a world-renowned guitarist from Stockholm, Sweden.
As a young boy, Yngwie originally had no interest in music, but that all changed on September 18th, 1970 when he saw a TV special on the late Jimi Hendrix. Seven-year-old Yngwie watched in awe as Hendrix blasted the audience with torrents of feedback and sacrificed his guitar in flames. The day Jimi Hendrix died, the guitar-playing Yngwie was born.
Yngwie Malmsteen's career has spanned over 40 years with over twenty albums to his name. Drawing influence from classical composers such as Bach, Paganini, and Vivaldi, Yngwie is responsible for birthing the neo-classical genre to the world of rock.

After several hours in detention they realize that some of their values and morals are very different, but at the end of the day they have more in common than not. Detention will change their overall perspective of each other and life. They will always be known as the “D”, the Detention Crew.

Heralded as one of our country's foremost comics, Paula Poundstone's quick-thinking, unscripted approach to comedy makes for a perfect fit on NPR's #1 show, the screwball weekly news quiz show WAIT WAIT…. DON’T TELL ME! , where she holds the record for game losses. Now, in May 2017, Paula's first book, "The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search For Human Happiness," has been released to glowing reviews. "A deeply revealing memoir in which the pathos doesn't kill the humor," wrote the Kirkus Reviews. "A crack writer of uncommonly hilarious observations... smart, sweet, and laugh-out-loud funny balm for exceedingly stressful times."
Paula also has her own podcast called "Live From The Poundstone Institute" coming out July 8 via NPR. With Paula at the helm, the show will explore and riff on research studies that are so odd they just beg for someone to stand up and say, "wait, what?" The weekly episodes will be taped in front of a live audience.
Two-time GRAMMY nominee Mindi Abair has made her mark as one of the most recognizable saxophonists in the US. You may know her as the saxophonist on American Idol, or the only saxophonist to tour with rock legends Aerosmith since 1973. You may have seen her on stage with Bruce Springsteen for a historic night at the Beacon Theater, or tuned in as she joined Paul Shaffer and the CBS Orchestra on the Late Show with David Letterman, sat in with The Roots on The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, caught her recent appearances at The Grand Ole Opry, or recognized her as Al Pacino’s sax player in the movie Danny Collins.
Elliott Yamin returns with his fourth album, ‘As Time Goes By’, a genre-bending collection of emotive originals highlighted by his soulful and evocative voice. Influenced by some of his favorite music of the last few decades, Yamin has crafted and co-written a timeless set of original songs by fusing R&B, urban, rock and contemporary elements all while remaining true to what his fans love about him the most: his expressive voice and performance. Unafraid of experimenting with multiple production styles in a single song, the album ranges from emotional ballads with an 80's flair to Motown-style upbeat grooves with a modern edge.
While Yamin was working in a pharmacy when he took a chance and drove to Boston, Massachusetts to audition for American Idol and won a spot on Season 5. His signature performances on the show, with renditions of James Moody’s “Moody’s Mood For Love’, Leon Russell’s ‘A Song for You’, Elvis Presley’s ‘Trouble’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘If You Really Love Me’ made him a fan favorite and catapulted him to 3rd place in that season. Simon Cowell described him as “potentially the best male vocalist” of the competition, while Stevie Wonder encouraged him to pursue music full-time. It’s been full steam ever since.
The standout jazz vocalist of his generation.” Newsweek
With over ten recordings as a leader, vocalist, businessman and educator Kevin Mahogany has been the standard setter for jazz vocalists for three decades.
His broad baritone was forged in his hometown: the legendary jazz metropolis known as Kansas City; where he learned to swing like Charlie Parker, shout the blues like Big Joe Turner, and cry a ballad like Lester Young; while, extending, elaborating and refining the jazz vocal legacies of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Eddie Jefferson and Al Jarreau into the myriad, interwoven dimensions of music – from gutbucket, the Great American Songbook, and gospel, to Mingus to Motown.
Aja Vu has long performed the music of Steely Dan and now they've added a generous set of Chicago favorites to a show of stellar and totally classic music. That's right: one great band, two great tributes.
Now you can hear songs you know and love played live! From Reelin in the Years and Hey 19, to Saturday in the Park and 25 or 6 to 4, they perform the music with pure love for the harmonies and classic horns of the original recordings.
