Elliott Yamin returns with his fourth album, ‘As Time Goes By’, a genre-bending collection of emotive originals highlighted by his soulful and evocative voice. Influenced by some of his favorite music of the last few decades, Yamin has crafted and co-written a timeless set of original songs by fusing R&B, urban, rock and contemporary elements all while remaining true to what his fans love about him the most: his expressive voice and performance. Unafraid of experimenting with multiple production styles in a single song, the album ranges from emotional ballads with an 80's flair to Motown-style upbeat grooves with a modern edge.
While Yamin was working in a pharmacy when he took a chance and drove to Boston, Massachusetts to audition for American Idol and won a spot on Season 5. His signature performances on the show, with renditions of James Moody’s “Moody’s Mood For Love’, Leon Russell’s ‘A Song for You’, Elvis Presley’s ‘Trouble’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘If You Really Love Me’ made him a fan favorite and catapulted him to 3rd place in that season. Simon Cowell described him as “potentially the best male vocalist” of the competition, while Stevie Wonder encouraged him to pursue music full-time. It’s been full steam ever since.

There’s a science to assembling the parts, and Tommy Emmanuel’s technical gift has earned him multiple awards from Guitar Player magazine and made him a Member of the Order of Australia, an honor bestowed by the Queen in his homeland. But the average fan could listen without even considering the precision behind the work, focusing instead on the artful tension and release of Emmanuel’s melodies. That’s how he intends it.
“I write as if I’m writing for a singer,” he explains. “I don’t think, ‘Ah, it’s just a solo guitar piece.’ I try to imagine I’m playing with a band or with a singer, but then I play the whole thing as a solo piece and look for ways to give it space.”
*Note: Tommy Emmanuel's CGP designation stands for "Certified Guitar Player" – the title given by the great Chet Atkins to only 5 guitarists in the entire world.
Before Mötley Crüe, before RATT, even before there was a Metallica, Y&T was slogging away in sweaty rock clubs around America. When the band formed in the early 1970s, little did they know they would set the standard for hard rock bands that trailed. Many of the biggest acts of the '80s became popular opening for headliners Y&T—and cut their teeth on the band, as evidenced by the Y&T mentions in tell-all books by acts such as Metallica and Mötley Crüe.
Band Members: Ray Appleton-Bass, Jason Barnett-Guitar,
Jon Kapetan-Vocals, Marc Kapetan-Guitar, Daniel Burt-Drums

Aja Vu has long performed the music of Steely Dan and now they've added a generous set of Chicago favorites to a show of stellar and totally classic music. That's right: one great band, two great tributes.
Now you can hear songs you know and love played live! From Reelin in the Years and Hey 19, to Saturday in the Park and 25 or 6 to 4, they perform the music with pure love for the harmonies and classic horns of the original recordings.
Credited with launching American folk music into mainstream popularity, the legendary Kingston Trio topped the charts in the 1960s with songs from the storytelling “Tom Dooley” to the humorous “Tijuana Jail.” Their iconic sound influenced the musical tastes of a generation, paving the way for the folk singers who followed.
While hits such as “M.T.A.” and “Where Have All The Flowers Gone?” fit the music-with-a-message era and remain relevant today, part of their charm isthat they never take themselves too seriously. Awarded the Lifetime Achievement Grammy Award in 2011, the Kingston Trio’s songs sound as good today as they did when they first soared up the radio playlists. Any evening spent with the tight harmonies and smooth vocals of the Kingston Trio is about more than just memories, it’s memorable.
