An epoch is defined as an extended period of time typically characterized by a distinctive development or by a memorable series of events, and Scott Hansen, leader of the band Tycho, has named their new album Epoch (Ghostly International) with that in mind. The last installment in a trilogy, Epoch is the culmination of more than a decade's work that has seen the band evolving and maturing through two sublime releases Dive (2011) and Awake (2014), and developing from featuring Hansen as a delicate solo performer into the iconic frontman of a powerful multi-layered live band performing on the world's largest stages.

Elvin Bishop

On the title track of his new album, Can’t Even Do Wrong Right, legendary blues guitarist, songwriter and singer ELVIN BISHOP spins a tale of a not-too-smart criminal getting caught by his own foolish missteps. The shaggy dog story, fueled by Bishop’s down-home delivery and deep blues slide guitar, is an affirmation of the Chicago Sun-Times’ ebullient praise: “It’s impossible not to like Bishop. He’s always singing something lowbrow and uplifting.” With his buoyant and deceptively loose-sounding ensemble behind him, he’s also playing some of the most spirited and distinctive blues slide guitar today.

The Tubes & The Motels

The Tubes

The Tubes will go down in the rock history books as one of the most exciting, in-your-face tight-knit group of musicians who epitomized the hilarity of popular American culture by making it into a the ultimate rock’n’roll extravaganza. Their live shows involved mock bondage rituals, simulated sex, 12-foot high rock stars by the name of Quay Lude singing ‘White Punks On Dope’, exploding televisions, chainsaws and an array of semi-clad dancers. In the tradition of Frank Zappa and Captain Beefheart, the Tubes were one of the first bands to write and perform songs in a head-on theatrical onslaught.

The Motels

Her voice is unique, unmistakable and timeless – The Los Angeles Times’ Robert Hilburn called her “arguably the most charismatic female performer in rock.” And about the Hollywood Bowl concert in 2012, The Hollywood Reporter wrote: Martha Davis, of the Motels, was still strong in voice and admirably delivered hits like “Only The Lonely” and “Suddenly Last Summer.”  For Martha Davis, the most important thing has always been the songs she writes.

The Heart of Rock & Roll

A Tribute to

Huey Lewis & The News

The Heart of Rock & Roll

The Heart of Rock & Roll brings to life all the hits of the 80’s super group Huey Lewis & the News. The concept was born in late 2012 when brothers Tony & Roger Langdon, guitarist & front man respectively, for a variety cover band were performing their usual weekend shows.  For years the song The Heart of Rock & Roll was a set list staple mixed in among their band’s other classic rock, pop & R&B songs.  One particular night, a show guest made the comment that Roger, “Kind of looks & sounds like Huey Lewis.”

Tony suggested to Roger to go ahead and try a full blown Huey Lewis impersonation to see if there was something to that fan’s comment.  After working out a few songs, it became clear that there was something special going on.  Roger brings the sound, image & style of Huey Lewis to life with such great detail he’s fooled more than a few fans.
