STAND UP COMIC
RAYMOND ORTA

Stand Up Comedian Raymond Orta

Raymond Orta has been doing stand up comedy since he was 8 years old. Whether it’s his stage presence, his timing, his spot on impressions , his out of this world sound effects, Raymond Orta is a versatile Comedian to say the least... but to say he’s funny is a monumental understatement... funny doesn’t begin to describe this high energy show that will leave you clutching your ribs, massaging your face, even slapping tables and spitting fluids out of your nose and mouth.. It’s rumored that at one of his shows, he had a lady collapse and had to be taken out by ambulance and receive medical attention. Doctors later discovered that lack of oxygen from excessive laughter had caused her to pass out and lose her bodily function.

An Evening with
Paula Poundstone

An Evening with Paula Poundstone

Heralded as one of our country's foremost comics, Paula Poundstone's quick-thinking, unscripted approach to comedy makes for a perfect fit on NPR's #1 show, the screwball weekly news quiz show WAIT WAIT…. DON’T TELL ME! , where she holds the record for game losses. Now, in May 2017, Paula's first book, "The Totally Unscientific Study of the Search For Human Happiness," has been released to glowing reviews. "A deeply revealing memoir in which the pathos doesn't kill the humor," wrote the Kirkus Reviews.

Paula also has her own podcast called "Live From The Poundstone Institute" coming out July 8 via NPR. With Paula at the helm, the show will explore and riff on research studies that are so odd they just beg for someone to stand up and say, "wait, what?" The weekly episodes will be taped in front of a live audience.

SINGER/SONGWRITER
ELLIOTT YAMIN

Singer/Songwriter Elliott Yamin

Elliott Yamin returns with his fourth album, ‘As Time Goes By’, a genre-bending collection of emotive originals highlighted by his soulful and evocative voice. Influenced by some of his favorite music of the last few decades, Yamin has crafted and co-written a timeless set of original songs by fusing R&B, urban, rock and contemporary elements all while remaining true to what his fans love about him the most: his expressive voice and performance. Unafraid of experimenting with multiple production styles in a single song, the album ranges from emotional ballads with an 80's flair to Motown-style upbeat grooves with a modern edge.

While Yamin was working in a pharmacy when he took a chance and drove to Boston, Massachusetts to audition for American Idol and won a spot on Season 5. His signature performances on the show, with renditions of James Moody’s “Moody’s Mood For Love’, Leon Russell’s ‘A Song for You’, Elvis Presley’s ‘Trouble’ and Stevie Wonder’s ‘If You Really Love Me’ made him a fan favorite and catapulted him to 3rd place in that season. Simon Cowell described him as “potentially the best male vocalist” of the competition, while Stevie Wonder encouraged him to pursue music full-time. It’s been full steam ever since.

The standout jazz vocalist of his generation.” Newsweek

With over ten recordings as a leader, vocalist, businessman and educator Kevin Mahogany has been the standard setter for jazz vocalists for three decades.

His broad baritone was forged in his hometown: the legendary jazz metropolis known as Kansas City; where he learned to swing like Charlie Parker, shout the blues like Big Joe Turner, and cry a ballad like Lester Young; while, extending, elaborating and refining the jazz vocal legacies of Lambert, Hendricks & Ross, Eddie Jefferson and Al Jarreau into the myriad, interwoven dimensions of music – from gutbucket, the Great American Songbook, and gospel, to Mingus to Motown.
